Welcome to the Spekeasy Cellar Doors community.  We’re a community as we’re all about the people and creating connection through conversation and great wine.

I founded the community to amplify Australian wine stories and put them on the map for others to enjoy.  There’s a whole world hiding in plain sight if you just look past the big glossy cellar doors.  Big does not always mean better.  Australia makes world class wine but some of our most pioneering and cutting edge winemakers run small operations and don’t have cellar doors, but they do welcome a visit when they have the time.

My mission is to get more people drinking Australian wine.  As we drink less but opt for a nicer bottle we encourage you to make your money matter and buy from a person not a shelf.  Buying direct from winemakers injects money straight back into rural communities.

The community is the cross section of mindful drinking and slow travel.  It’s an invitation to get off the beaten track and do something different.  Too many people tread the same path these days whether Bali, Barcelona or Byron Bay.  We point you in a different direction, where you can experience and learn something new and better yet, meet new people in the meantime.
