Actions speak louder than words; and whilst terroir is the buzzword of the day, Barney’s Garagiste wines are actually terroir in action.  Growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from three different sites he endeavours to let the unique sub-regions of Mornington Peninsula work their magic.  Inspired by the 1980’s garagistes of Bordeaux who proved low volume and high quality wines could be produced outside the famous chateau walls.  Barney’s light touch wine making and innovative spirit define his wines and his gin; a coastal gin infused with local fennel, samphire and seaweed!
